The Story
It started behind a drum kit. Musically inclined for as long as he can remember, J Sledge grew from drummer to pianist and organist, and eventually into the role he holds today: music director.
His roots run deep in gospel — but his ear and his work don't stop there. From contemporary worship to R&B, jazz, and beyond, J Sledge brings the same fluency and feeling to every genre he touches.
That path — through every chair in the band and every seat in the sound booth — is what makes the rest possible. Years of playing, directing, and keeping instruments and stages running have turned into a full practice: performance, production, consultation, and the hands-on maintenance most musicians never learn.
